Thermoplastic composites in new dimensions
Neolaminates are composite materials made from thermoplastic UD-Tape fabric. The straight and torsion-free fiber orientation ensures maximum and direct force absorption in the component. The outstanding and complete fiber impregnation of the semi-finished products facilitates functional integration in injection-molded components and improves their use in multi-material designs. The particularly low "non-crimp" factor ensures significantly higher fatigue strength and takes neolaminates to a whole new level compared to organic sheets. Flexible bond types offer very good draping properties and reduce wrinkling and fiber distortion even with complex geometries. Neolaminates impress with their interesting appearance and are available in widths of up to 2.90 m.
