A key unique selling point of Lubratec Smart is the intelligent phase model for outdoor climate barns. It distinguishes between the cold phase, comfort phase and warm phase and automatically adjusts the climate control system to the respective weather and temperature situation. This ensures an animal-friendly climate in the barn in every season and reliably reduces heat stress.
In all three climate phases, Lubratec Smart ensures the perfect interplay of ventilation, fans and optional humidification. The basis for this is the continuous recording of relevant environmental influences such as temperature, wind direction and strength, precipitation, humidity, harmful gases (especially CO₂) and lighting conditions. Local weather data and its progression are also recorded via a dedicated weather station so that all connected Lubratec stable climate products can be controlled proactively and particularly efficiently, and the lighting control is also fully integrated into the system. The LED light level is controlled via freely definable time programs (e.g. 16 hours bright / 8 hours dark, vice versa for dry cows), including night mode. When there is sufficient light outside, the light switches off automatically and saves energy. Switching on and off is always dimmed and animal-friendly to avoid stress.
Cold phase
During the cold phase, the ventilation is regulated depending on the outside temperature, wind, rain and harmful gas levels in the barn. Shock ventilation enables air to be exchanged as required with minimal heat loss.
Comfort phase
In the comfort phase, the control of the ventilation is primarily temperature-dependent. The system is always ready to react quickly to changes in the weather. Fans also ensure a minimum air exchange rate, especially when there is no wind.
Warm phase
In the warm phase, the focus is on reducing heat stress. Wind ventilation and fans are used in a targeted manner to lower the barn temperature. In intense heat, the wind-chill effect is utilized through the combined use of fans and misting to noticeably relieve the animals.
The control logic of Lubratec Smart is based on many years of practical experience from outdoor climate stables and was developed in close cooperation with vets and farmers. Dynamic control algorithms are linked with intelligent if-then functions and ensure precise coordination between sensors and climate control products - for greater animal welfare, higher efficiency and maximum operational reliability.

High-precision sensors measure temperature, humidity, CO₂ concentration and light intensity, among other things. The measured values are automatically recorded and clearly visualized in the app. The integrated traffic light system enables a quick and intuitive assessment of the current barn climate situation and helps you to optimize animal welfare in a targeted and sustainable manner.
