Sustainable road rehabilitation

On the L570 state road, extensive damage such as rutting, deformation and cracking made rehabilitation urgently necessary between October 2020 and March 2021. The Straßen.NRW Münsterland rehabilitated the state road between Ahaus and Schöppingen over a length of around 3.6 kilometres. During the rehabilitation, the resistant HaTelit^® asphalt reinforcement (asphalt interlayer, pavement grid) was used to delay reflective cracking to a maximum and significantly extend the service life of the road. The project also included the levelling of junctions, cycle and footpath connections and bus stops. Parallel to the work, four bus stops in the section were made barrier-free.
