Flexible hall closures for fertiliser and pallet storage

Situation

Raiffeisen Ems-Vechte eG, based in Lorup, is a co-operative in the agricultural supply sector. It produces and sells feed and fertiliser for regional agriculture. In the area of fertiliser and pallet storage, the requirement was to reliably protect the existing hall openings from the effects of the weather. The solution not only had to meet the high logistical requirements - daily access by lorries as well as forklift and conveyor belt traffic - but also protect the sensitive components against the corrosive effect of the stored fertilisers.

Solution

After comprehensive consultation with HUESKER Synthetic GmbH, Raiffeisen Ems-Vechte eG decided in favour of Tectura folding fronts. A total of two folding fronts measuring 14 m × 6 m and one folding front measuring 7 m × 6 m were installed in the fertiliser and pallet storage area. A black translucent PES tarpaulin was used.

By using the large-format Tectura folding fronts, Raiffeisen Ems-Vechte eG can optimally secure its fertiliser and pallet warehouse and at the same time meet the operational requirements for flexibility and accessibility. The translucent, black PES tarpaulin provides effective weather protection while allowing natural light into the warehouse areas. Thanks to their corrosion-resistant properties, the textile door solutions are ideally suited to the demanding environment of fertiliser storage facilities. Even under high wind loads, the doors remain stable and functional, which ensures additional operational safety. In addition, the large door width offers ideal conditions for the entry and exit of lorries, forklifts and the use of larger conveyor belts. Overall, the solution represents an economical, durable and technically convincing investment that fulfils the high logistical requirements of daily operations.
