All-round weather protection for padel court canopy

Situation

Our client was looking for a solution to be installed that would enable them to offer their padel players a comfortable playing experience as well as high-end, professional facilities. They wanted a textile product that would deliver effective protection against low sun, glare, headlights and provide wind protection as well as being able to withstand constant opening and shutting. Minimum construction time and flexibility for future modifications was essential as well as the ability to allow natural ventilation and daylight onto the padel courts.

Challenge

Padel tennis is fast and physically demanding and players generate a lot of heat quickly. Good ventilation is essential in padel courts to maintain air quality, control temperature and humidity, and ensure a safe, comfortable playing environment – helping players perform at their best while protecting the facility and maximising usage. A ventilation system was needed in order to extend court lifespan and reduce maintenance and repair costs in the future. It was decided that the Tectura Folding Front with its ability to provide weather protection and privacy, while creating a bright and comfortable playing environment was the solution.

Conclusion

Installation was completed in April by our recommended installer, Think Installation Ltd, who are familiar with our range. The padel courts are now fully operational and players are benefiting from the natural ventilation which comes from using Tectura Folding Fronts. Quick installation of the system minimised ‘down time’ and created the perfect balance between indoor comfort and outdoor experience.

The system is cost-effective and easy to operate, allowing for quick opening and closing. It requires very little maintenance while providing continuous ventilation throughout the entire court.
