Time-controlled feed rack as a feeding system

Situation

The client was looking for a feeding system for an open stable to minimise the workload otherwise involved in filling hay nets for five horses. Due to the client’s hay dust allergy, contact with the hay needed to be kept to a minimum. Nevertheless, the animals needed to be fed regularly. This is particularly important in this case, as the horses suffer from laminitis. With this metabolic disorder, small amounts of hay should be fed throughout the day without overly long breaks between meals.

Solution

By using the feeding rack, the customer saves time and has less work. The tedious task of filling the hay nets and making multiple trips to the stable is eliminated. Thanks to the integrated timer, the gates can open and close automatically up to 20 times a day. Sufficient breaks between meals and regular feeding times can be ideally combined through the use of the feeding rack.
