HUESKER creates space for further growth in Dülmen
Dülmen – The HUESKER Group has officially opened its new production hall at its ‘Im Brömken’ site. With this extension, covering around 5,000 square metres, HUESKER is strengthening its production and logistics capabilities for its growing Geosynthetics, and Industry & Agriculture business divisions. At the opening on 15th June 2026, HUESKER welcomed representatives from the town of Dülmen, project partners, as well as employees and guests from the worlds of business and politics.
The new hall has been in operation since the start of the year. With the official opening, HUESKER now marks the successful completion of the construction project, which was carried out both within the planned timeframe and within the allocated budget. The expansion increases the production area at the ‘Im Brömken’ site from 7,500 to a total of 12,500 square metres.
Investment in growth and future viability
In recent years, the site had increasingly reached its spatial limits. Production, warehousing and order picking were spread across several areas. The new building now brings these together, ensuring shorter distances and more efficient processes. At the same time, it creates additional scope for further growth.
„By expanding our high-end site here in Dülmen, we are sending a clear signal, particularly in these times of geopolitical uncertainties. After all, manufacturing in Germany is not only sustainable and of the highest quality – it offers flexibility and reliable delivery. This is our promise as a premium supplier to our loyal customers.“
Dr. F.- Hans Grandin, CEO HUESKER Synthetic GmbH
Grandin also emphasised the excellent cooperation with the town of Dülmen and expressed his thanks to the employees present as well as representatives of the Bielefeld-based construction company Goldbeck, which carried out the work.
An economic driver for the region
In his welcoming address, Dülmen’s Mayor, Carsten Hövekamp also praised the swift and professional completion of the new hall. “This is the result when many small cogs mesh together efficiently. The coordination between all those involved simply worked well,” said Hövekamp, who sees the new hall, above all, as a clear commitment to the region. He described the investment as an important step for Dülmen as a business location. “We look forward to further fruitful collaboration,” concluded the CDU politician.
Building whilst operations continue
Integrating the new building into existing structures whilst production was underway presented a particular challenge. To connect it to the existing hall buildings, an external wall had to be dismantled and replaced with a temporary dust barrier – without interrupting ongoing production.
“Our aim was to carry out the construction work in such a way that our customers would not be affected. Completing the hall on schedule whilst maintaining full operations required precise planning and close cooperation between all those involved“
explained Heinz-Georg Richels, Production Director at HUESKER.
In addition to optimising production processes, sustainability and energy efficiency were also key considerations. The new hall is equipped with underfloor heating throughout, powered by an air-source heat pump. The concept is complemented by the use of electricity from the existing photovoltaic system.
A strong location with a promising future
More than 130 employees already work at the HUESKER site in Dülmen – including those at the subsidiary NaBento Vliesstoff GmbH. Thanks to the latest expansion, the company is creating space for the future development of its business divisions whilst simultaneously strengthening the Dülmen site. This is because the expansion opens up long-term prospects for employment and growth.
