Sunny outlook

With our photovoltaic systems, we take on clean energy and responsibility – for ourselves and future generations.

For about 5 billion years, the sun has been rising and supplying our planet with energy. It is high time to use this inexhaustible source of power as sustainably as possible. We at HUESKER have taken action and are taking this important step towards a responsible future to reduce our CO2 footprint.

We are there - without CO2

You have to keep it in mind: As a renewable energy source, the sun is available every morning for us and future generations. Electricity generation through photovoltaics does not require fossil fuels and therefore does not release any CO2. This is a good reason to make room for as many modules as possible at our locations in Dülmen and Gescher. We have already managed half a football field. But before the end of this year, we are expanding our PV systems in Gescher and Dülmen to 7,500 square meters. An entire playing field full of solar energy, equipped with 4,300 photovoltaic modules and an output of 1.65 megawatt peak. But that's not all.

Our self-sufficiency principle

It is "obvious" in the truest sense of the word that we supply our company ourselves, with clean electricity from solar energy. We already use more than 85 percent of our solar power for our own consumption — for the production, management and charging of electric vehicles. An energy performance that makes sense not only ecologically, but also economically, in order to stabilize energy costs and ultimately secure jobs.

Moving forward with full energy

By the end of 2023, HUESKER's share of self-generated electricity will be at least 25 percent. And the plans for further projects are already in the drawer — for the next steps on the way to a sunny future and a CO2-neutral value creation process.

Yours, Kai
